Something magical is stirring…and if you’ve ever wished you could step inside a story and decide what happens next, this week’s post is for you.
On February 17, the gates open for my second interactive children’s adventure book:
The Secrets of the Magic Castle
Before release days arrives, I want to invite you behind the scenes, into the heart of the castle itself.

Why The Magic Castle Exists
When I wrote my first book, The Hidden Treasure Map, I saw how powerful it was for kids to feel like the hero of the story, not just a listener. They leaned in. They debated choices. They asked to read it again – and again – just to explore different paths.
The Magic Castle was born from that same spark, but with a twist.
This time, the adventure is more mysterious. The choices are trickier. And the castle? It has it’s own secrets.
Every door, hallway, and hidden passage holds a decision, and every decision shapes the story.
What Makes The Secrets of the Magic Castle Different
This isn’t just a story you read. It’s a story you enter.
Inside the castle, young readers will
- Make meaning choices that change the adventure
- Explore magical rooms filled with wonder and mystery
- Practice problem-solving decision-making
- Discover that there’s no single “right” ending, only your ending
It’s designed for curious minds, imaginative hearts, and kids who love asking, “What happens if…?”
A Peek Behind the Curtain (No Spoilers!!)
Without giving too much away…
This story was carefully crafted so:
- Each choice feels exciting, but not overwhelming
- The paths are easy to follow, even for younger readers
- The magic builds naturally with every decision
And yes, sometimes choices lead to surprises.
The Secrets of the Magic Castle includes a special “whoops” ending. A gentle, playful moment where a choice doesn’t go quite as planned. This ending isn’t about failure. It’s about:
- Learning mistakes are part of every adventure
- Laughing, turning the page, and trying again
- Building resilience and confidence through exploration
Illustrations and story flow work together so children never feel lost, only intrigued. Think of it like a story-shaped maze…one filled with wonder instead of walls.
Who This Book Is Perfect For
- Kids who love fantasy, castles, and magic
- Parents who want interactive, engaging read-alouds
- Classrooms looking for fun decision-making storytelling
- Families who enjoy rereading books in new ways
If The Hidden Treasure Map was about adventure…
This magic castle is about discovery.
The Countdown Is On
The castle gates officially open on February 17, and I can’t wait to share this adventure with you.
Next week’s blog will be all about release day, including how to get the book, fun ways to read it with kids, and what’s coming next in the Your Turn to Choose universe.
Until then, The Secrets of the Magic Castle awaits.
